Trustee Role Description

We are particularly interested in applications from people with experience of fundraising, bid writing and grant applications, chairing, events, and volunteer management.

We’re an inclusive organisation, welcoming applications from people from marginalised communities. Our opportunities are open for all to apply, but we are keen to hear from LGBTIQA+ Croydon residents.

Being a trustee at Croydon Pride involves governance and strategic oversight for the charity, as well as having a more operational team leader aspect.

Roles:

• Attending board meetings
• Organising regular meetings for your team
• Managing volunteers
• Attending Croydon Pride events
• Networking with other organisations
• Coordinating with the PrideFest event producers

Expectations:

• Supportive of the purpose and values of Croydon Pride
• Responsiveness to internal communications
• Communicating on and completing tasks between board meetings
• Be constructive about all volunteers’ opinions in discussions, and work towards consensus-based decision making
• Maintain confidentiality on sensitive and confidential information
