Become a Croydon Pride Trustee
Croydon Pride strives for LGBTQIA+ tolerance and equality within Croydon’s diverse communities by staging inclusive events. We are a UK-registered charity (1173230) and a company limited by guarantee (10555864). Any surplus funds we raise are reinvested back into the charity.
We are responsible for organising Croydon PrideFest which has become accepted as South London’s leading LGBTQIA+ event. Established as a charity in May 2017, after the first PrideFest in 2016, with the purpose of keeping Croydon PrideFest a free event for all over the coming years. Croydon Pride receives no core government funding and funds are instead raised in a variety of ways including donations, sponsorship and fundraising events.
Due to Covid 19 there was no PrideFest 2020 and we are not planning to have a major event in 2021. We need to make Croydon PrideFest 2022 a major success so we are now seeking to improve our governance by recruiting up to three additional trustees to our board. We are seeking people with experience in one or more of the areas of fundraising, sponsorship, publicity (PR), managing volunteers, and grant applications.
Ideally you will be a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, living or working in the Croydon area. We will particularly welcome applications from appropriately experienced women, people of Black, Asian or Minority Ethnicity and underrepresented communities.
In the first instance apply by email to [email protected] by 30th April 2021.
