London Mozart Players is the UK's longest established chamber orchestra. Known for its unmistakable British roots, the orchestra has developed an outstanding reputation for adventurous, ambitious programming. For Croydon Pride this year we're very proud to announce a collaboration between LMP and Croydon artists – orchestrated by the amazing Fiona Brice: Silvastone - one of the UK's most active Afrobeats artists/producers/songwriters. Also a Croydon resident, Silvastone is also very active in his local community. As well as running his own professional studios White Hut Studios, he also delivers a music workshop programme in local schools that engages young people in discovering and harnessing their creative talents. He also runs the successful Afrobox night at BoxPark. Graver Ekow - a queer British hip hop duo, holding a retro futuristic lens to the world. Their cathartic lyrics invite listeners to join them in holding a middle finger to the mainstream, while nestling in DIY pop sensibilities. The result is a controlled chaos of genre-defying Hip Hop that explores the highs and lows of humanity. London-born Mr Ekow and Norfolk-born Graver met in 2018 after meeting on a well-known dating app, which shall not be named. The two have been together since and their unique chemistry shines through their music. Mee and the Band - fusing new world sounds of the digital era, with Eastern European vocal influences and catchy hooks, your ears and hearts are taken on folktronica storytelling journeys. Guaranteed to give you a visually striking performance, Mee And the Band will surround you with a kooky make-believe world.
